After graduating from Stanford, Abe ran sales and marketing at social networking startup Affinity Circles. He consulted for a bunch of startups, got his MBA from Columbia, and dabbled in “the dark side” at Greycroft and Canaan before founding Shake. His wife is a lawyer and so far she still loves him.
Jesse is an iOS master with over twenty years of experience launching dozens of apps. He invented the world's first AppStore, The Electronic AppWrapper, back in 1993 and presented it to Steve Jobs himself. Jesse loves butter tarts, software engineers, and taking billions of baby photos of his son with his iPhone.
After earning his law degree at NYU, Vinay began his legal career at Skadden. He later launched a social media app and was legal counsel and head of business development at Flavorpill, the digital publisher. A graduate of Stanford, Cambridge and UVa, Vinay enjoys hiking, standup comedy, and drafting contracts in iambic pentameter.
In her previous life, Krissi was a visual journalist. After receiving her MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, she designed and developed for mobile apps such as National Geographic Magazine and Fast Company. She wears Pantone 567 every football Saturday in support of her other alma mater, Michigan State University.
Bent grew up surfing the Ventura County Line and disassembled his first computer at age 11 using blunt instruments. He studied contracts at Santa Clara Law before leaving to build web apps for companies like Moët-Hennessy. He also studied English and Philosophy at the University of Vermont and taught himself Node.js.
Jared is Head of Corporate Development and General Counsel at Spotify. His resume includes stints at Skadden, Google, and AOL and degrees from Penn, Chicago, and Columbia. He was named by CNN as one of the most powerful lawyers in tech. The title of Most Interesting Man in the World, however, stubbornly eludes him.
Jon is the President and COO of BuzzFeed. Before that, he was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Polaris Ventures, Strategic Partner Development Manager at Google, ran Biz Dev at Majestic Research, and founded iBuilding. He’s a Princeton grad with a Columbia MBA. Jon has two kids, and thus no hobbies other than magnatiles.
Stu is a founding General Partner at RRE Ventures. When he’s not cycling in Central Park or talking about cats, Stu serves on a number of boards including Betaworks and Business Insider, and teaches at Columbia Business School. He attended Wesleyan University and Harvard Business School, and began his career at McKinsey.
